Finally, finally, finally I got off my lazy arse and went for a run today. It felt good. I just wish I could manage my time better and not miss out on so many runs. Because of my lack of running these past couple of weeks, I know the half marathon on Sunday is not going to be as easy and fun as I’d hoped. Instead, I’m just hoping that I finish upright and not collapsed in a puddle of my own bodily fluids. That’s an attractive mental image though, no?
Somebody’s watching me
If you didn’t already know, I’m a total Sitemeter stalker. I like to know how you all get to my blog, mostly so I can keep tabs on who’s slagging me off in the blogosphere. But it’s also how I find the lurkers. One such lurker who’s finally come out of her shell and started up her own blog is Carpeviam (Latin for ‘seize the road’). At her blog, Copiaverborum (more Latin! meaning ‘a lot of words’), she’s chronicling her life and her training for the Boston marathon. Stop by and wish her luck, folks. Show a newbie how friendly we all are. Glaven, not that friendly.
All right, everyone, that’s it from me. I’ve got a train to catch. Have a great weekend, everyone. And good luck to Count of Monte Christo who’s also racing this weekend. Apologies if I’ve forgotten anyone else. [Update: Like MCM Mama, Mike and Aron. Good luck!]
